I somewhat like the idea of having a bunch of configurable things that is on every Tiny Tapeout from the "well if your design doesn't work, there is a bunch of stuff to still play with" and the "once you have finished playing with your own design you can still do new and interesting things".

We also like the idea. But then, spending 10% of each chip on an FPGA is expensive, and we'll have to roll that into the silicon price. And in any case, there are always some interesting designs on every chip from other users, to address "something to play with"

I guess when you are selling out on slots, I can understand that.
